First of all - thank you for taking interest! My name is Paul Woods, approved and I live in population health Australia (Wikipedia)" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brisbane">Brisbane, Australia In 2010 I made the leap from an average employee... to an "Intrapreneur" with an idea/vision/dream that I wanted to commercialise.  And looking back, it was one of the best moves I ever made. I can hear you saying... "What is an Intrapreneur?"  Well, the best way to think about it is an entrepreneur who still works for someone.  Running a startup within a larger "traditional business" brings its own challenges, which is half the reason I am sharing the lessons I have learned on this site.  There isn't much written about intrapreneurship... it is a lot sexier to be an entrepreneur... but from my point of view a culture of intrapreneurship has the potential to transform an average or a good business, into a great business. On the side, I am currently a part-time management research student at the QUT Business School, studying the impact of technology on the work / home interface.  So if you are interested in topics about work-life balance, work/home integration, telework, results oriented work environments and more... all topics that are at the heart of any intrapreneur who wants to design the way they work to increase their performance... then I am sure you will enjoy some of the content I post as I work towards publishing my thesis. My influences?

  • Peter Drucker
  • Tom Peters
  • ... and my two beautiful girls (twins!) Gabrielle and Madeline.  To be honest most of my productivity lessons come from them :)
Please get in touch if you have comments, critisicms, feedback etc.  Comment on this site, or follow me on twitter (@paulwoods). Cheers, Paul W First of all - thank you for taking interest! Cheers, Paul W One of my favourite videos from TED… this presentation by Nigel Marsh at TEDx Sydney is an interesting perspective on the idea of practical work-life balance.  Managing your boundary between work and home, stuff ambulance and how small changes in your approach to your day can positively influence your relationship with your family, and yourself.
What small changes are you planning to make today to swing the balance back in your favour?
